It has almost been 3 years since I started this blog and these 3 years I would say have not been short of wonderful moments, fruitfulness and personal growth. Now that this chapter of my life (university life) is coming to a close, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to explore new horizons and new sights.
This post and my upcoming posts will be about my 3 week trip with my awesome momma and annoying brother (Hehe. I don’t think you read this blog. If you do, I’m sorry. You know I love you.)
First stop: New York City
Upper Manhattan, Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 7th Avenue, Shake Shack and Gershwin Theater
Being able to finally visit a city that I’ve only seen in movies has definitely been such a thrill. 4 days and 3 nights in this city have been frighteningly cold (so happy that hand warmers exist) but beautiful – eating legit New York bagels, watching a Broadway show, taking the subway and getting lost numerous of times, exploring and walking endlessly are all nothing but great experiences. It seems that the mundane things we commonly do at home are such highlights in our travels. Things that we take for granted at home become more magnified and appreciated away from home and in new places. With that said, ultimately, New York in all its splendors is all together not a destination but rather really an experience.
